Chosen to represent the guys for the spring version of distinctive prints in “PHXFW‘s Menswear Moment”, I can’t ask of too much from menswear stylist Tim Boado, as anyone would want to stand out and create something special for the runway; I just wanted to see a bit more of a style I could actually leave with instead of something that was just fun to look at. The looks had great style, just not my style…

I understand the upscale and modern concept mixed with colorful collection of pieces for a spring show, but as I look at the practicality of myself wearing an outfit covered from top to bottom stripes and floral, I catch myself cradling the line asking yay or nay. Set up with great color palettes of rich blues, olive greens, and plum purples, they did serve as a nice break from the normal pastel color schemes we always falls into for spring trends. I just like the mixing of my loud patterns in certain moderation. (Which some outfits were.)

Styling the garments and colorful collections of Robert Graham, an Arizona Menswear Designer Company, don’t let me steer you away from checking their catalog and looking into what they offer. I might leave some of their heavier prints right where they are, but on the flip side, I wouldn’t mind picking up something fresh for a special occasion. The brighter prints matched with the solid bottoms, BOOM!… I can say the individual pieces are what caught my attention, versus the overall outfits, but that’s somewhat the idea of a fashion show right?

What do you guys think?… Anything you would pick up for yourself?
