Like anybody that finds an environment they truly enjoy being around, I think I’ve found something special at the RAW Artists Phoenix Showcases. Not only do the shows continue to inspire me and connect me with a great group of artists that are sincerely passionate about what they do, it motivates me to do the same.

This time around I got the chance to talk a multitude of artists who said this very show was their first time having their work featured in open exhibit. This happened to be the exact case for photographers Jennifer Somerton (whose Harlem Nights Piece immediately grabbed my attention) and Jacob Decker, who I actually bought an original print from. And with the likes of other visual artists such as Erica Jean Brown and Ryan Curtis with his Hot Rod Collection, there was definitely an abundance of art pieces for everyone to check out.

But I also can’t forget about the Fashion and Accessory designers too. Stand out brands like Lion By Nature and Over Undr hit the runway at the later part of the night but did not disappoint. With Lion By Natures original bow ties and Egyptian print clothing, its cool to see clothing lines stepping out and being different. And the same can be said for Regenerous Designs and their limited edition designer fabric accessories. (Which also might be coming with a Men’s Collection soon, so keep your head up).

All in all, a great show with some great people. I even got the chance to run into the ladies from TalkThatWalk.com who said they “completely enjoyed themselves.” I’m glad you ladies came out. So if you’re in Phoenix (or any major city with RAW Artists Showcases) I suggest you do the same and come enjoy the atmosphere.
