Coming together and setting records, French based artist duo Ella & Pitr chose to do something special for their most recent project. With feet as big as the side of 2 buildings and fingernails over 6 feet, this thing is big and needs every inch.

Familiar with large-scale murals typically only seen from a birds eye view, the tandem is proud of the magnitude and the charisma they create through their artwork. Tagged with the moniker “les Papiers Peintres” or the Paper Painters, they like to describe their characters as a “strange family”, an original set of personalities ranging from napping winged boys, to sunbathing grandmas.

Their latest mural is not only their largest, it is also the largest outdoor mural in the world to date at 226,040 square feet. Titled “Lilith and Olaf”, the piece illustrates a curled-up woman dropping a tiny (larger than life-sized) red figure, King Olaf I of Norway, where the mural is located. It marks the 15th Anniversary of Stavanger’s Nuart Festival and will be officially ‘opened’ to the public on September 4th, 2015.

Enjoy!
